APS4 People and Performance Coordinator

The position

As People & Performance Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the operational delivery of the human resource function across the gallery. The position is directly aligned with the Gallery’s wellbeing program and will be key to its successful delivery. The role requires a self-starter who can establish relationships with key stakeholders throughout the gallery.

This position will be non-ongoing for 12 months (maternity leave cover).

Specific Tasks

Under general direction of the People and Performance Manager, the successful applicant will:

  1. Actively participate in the development of the Gallery’s Learning and Development and Wellbeing initiatives and coordinate delivery of the programs.
  2. Coordinate the administration of recruitment activities from advertising through to onboarding.
  3. Respond to general incoming enquiries in a timely manner, providing accurate and timely advice.
  4. Ensure personnel and other HR records are maintained accurately through SharePoint and Aurion.
  5. Undertake the responsibilities of inducting new employees and ensuring the successful separation of employees.
  6. Administration of the human resource pages on the Gallery’s intranet and administration support as required.
  7. Undertake basic HR reporting as required.

Section Criteria

  • Knowledge of APS recruitment principles and practices (or ability to quickly acquire).
  • Experience using HR systems such as Aurion, or similar.
  • Ability to coordinate events such as training opportunities with a high attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Professionalism and discretion in managing confidential staffing matters.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen, with the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
