Muruwari man Matthew Doyle was a founding member of the Aboriginal Islander Dance Theatre (AIDT) and subsequently worked with Bangarra as a Cultural Consultant and Songman on productions such as Bennelong (2017). As a musician, he has performed at events such as the opening and closing ceremonies of the Sydney Olympic Games, at the opening of the Musee du Quai Branly, Paris, and of the Australian pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2016. He is currently Cultural Advisor and 'Uncle in Residence' at NIDA.
