Dave Gerry is a proud Indigenous Australian. Born in Alice Springs, he was fostered from a young age and grew up with his brother in the leafy Melbourne suburb of Glen Waverley. Dave never met his birth parents but loved his foster parents fiercely. Recently, he was contacted by a blood brother he never knew he had. That brother is Harold Thomas, the artist who created the Australian Aboriginal Flag. Dave is an observer. Patient and quiet, he's content to watch on – especially if it's sport. And yes, the moustache is inspired by his Aussie cricketing heroes of yesteryear.
