While 3.7 million viewers tuned in to watch the final episode of a television show about cooking, the reality for John Campbell, an award winning apprentice chef from Canberra is far from glamorous. Stuck between a housing affordability crisis and low apprentice wages, John is forced to live in Havelock House, a community housing complex that provides emergency accommodation for those in need. This image represents an increasing reality of modern life in Australia's big cities.
