Beau Dean Riley Smith, backstage, Barangaroo, Gadigal Land. A moment between two worlds. Beau standing in a hoodie waiting to go on stage for Bangarra Dance Theatre's performance of Spirit, for the Sydney Festival 2021. I have photographed Beau all over the country and world in moments where he is transforming from one spirit to another. This was the first show he had done for six months because of COVID. I had never seen him in a hoodie pre-show before.
