The intimate photographs by Warwick Baker allow their subjects to be at ease, capturing moments of calm reflection. 

Warwick Baker was born in Canberra in 1983. He studied photography at RMIT, Melbourne. His work has been exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery’s National Youth Self Portrait Prize, and National Photographic Portrait Prize.

The photographs in Tough and tender were taken between 2012 and 2016.
