Looking for an inspiring and creative way to enrich your holiday program? Bring your holiday care group to the National Portrait Gallery for a memorable experience! Available Monday to Friday during ACT school holidays.

Holiday Space: Self-guided

Free, 60 minutes, 10:00–11:00am, Preschool to Year 6

Holiday Space is a vibrant and welcoming environment where children can make, explore and relax. With self-directed art activities inspired by portraiture, this hands-on experience encourages imagination and discovery.

This program is supported by Gallery staff but does not include any formal facilitation and all activities are self-directed. Carers are responsible for the supervision and care of children at all times.

Portraits tell stories: Facilitated program

$7.00 per student, 60 minutes, Primary

Guided by our experienced facilitators, children will explore portraits and their stories through close looking, hands-on making and conversation.
