Kyle Vander-Kuyp (b. 1972) 110m hurdler, holds eight national championships and the Australian 110m hurdles record at 13.29 seconds. He was a finalist at the Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996, and was named Cleo magazine's Bachelor of the Year for 1997. Based at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, his preparation for the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 was affected by injury and family problems and he did not reach the final. Although he bettered the B qualifying time for Athens 2004 he was not selected as he was judged to be 'not on a rapid improvement curve' and unlikely to reach the final. Vander-Kuyp is a dedicated role model for indigenous youth and travels extensively to promote the ambition and self-esteem of young Aboriginal Australians.
The photographers Jonathan Anderson and Edwin Low live and work in London and have collaborated since 1990. Their photographic practice encompasses portraiture, street photography, architectural studies, landscapes, still life and sports subjects.
