T. V. Moore

b. 1974

TV Moore lives and works in Sydney and Los Angeles. A graduate of Sydney College of the Arts, he completed his Master of Fine Art at CalArts, Los Angeles in 2006. Since 1999, Moore has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions at Australian, New Zealand, European, Asian and US galleries. His work was chosen for the ART/Film section of the 2006 Basel Art fair in Basel Switzerland, Moore has also participated in the inaugural Torino Triennale at The Castello di Rivoli in Torino, Italy, the 2008 Busan Biennale, Korea, and his commissioned video and sound installation Escape Carnival featured at the 2008 Biennale of Sydney. Working with film, video, sound and theatrical forms, TV Moore employs a range of installation strategies and narrative and non-narrative techniques, skilfully blurring the boundaries of the documentary and the directed, and manipulating the viewer's perception of the real and the unreal.
