English born Selina Snow now lives and works in Sydney. She graduated from the prestigious Slade School of Art in London (1993) and Ecole des Beaux Art in Aix en Provence, France (1987). She has exhibited extensively in London and has featured in several English television series focusing on food lovers and the art of food. These portraits were exhibited in her first solo exhibition in Australia, Chefs, Providores and Dogs, which was at the Art House Gallery in 1997. They explore the symbolism of ritual and depict Sydney's leading Chefs and Providores surrounded by their culinary specialities and elements of their life. Snow aimed to capture the flavour, aroma and colour of the food, as well as the personality of its maker.
