Paul Worstead (b. 1950) is a conceptual artist, poster maker, T-shirt and fabric designer. A graduate of the East Sydney Technical College, Worstead has had a long association with Mental As Anything, having met the band members in art school. He has designed album covers for a number of well-known Australian recording artists, such as Mental As Anything, the Sports and Stephen Cummings. In 1971, Worstead launched the first of his own popular clothing labels, Ashtray, featuring a number of designs which are now local T-shirt classics. He then created Jimmy Jones Souvenirs, a range of colourful leisurewear that was a cross between surf and streetwear. He has been designing for Mambo since 1985.
