Living Memory Finalist
An image from the series Unscene Sets. Born from the need to remain passionate and creative despite Melbourne's 2020 lockdowns, Unscene Sets is a photographic portrait series of Australian set designers, decorators and curators working in film and television. A space in Benny's studio was set up for participants, who then had creative freedom to decorate a set reflecting their style and aesthetic with pieces they connect with and draw inspiration from. This series pushes the boundary between portraiture and self-portraiture, and is a project that shares meaningful engagement with another creative community also negatively impacted by Covid-19.
