National Photographic Portrait Prize 2014 Finalist
My good friend Michael Rees, a fellow photographer, offered the time to have his portrait taken by me and I accepted the opportunity. I wanted to demonstrate the way we felt during what could be considered one of the most important times of our lives. I believe this portrait of Michael shows his determination to achieve what he set out for. This image was photographed on 10x8 transparency.
The National Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition is selected from a national field of entries that reflect the distinctive vision of Australia's aspiring and professional portrait photographers and the unique nature of their subjects.
