National Photographic Portrait Prize 2013 Finalist
Becky Windlass is from the Great Victoria Desert in Western Australia. Her parents lived through the atomic testing at Maralinga, South Australia in the 1950's and migrated southwards to a mission settlement. Becky is married to a man from Spinifex Country, has one child and lives with her extended family between remote South and Western Australia. I have known Becky since she was a young girl and now know her as an amazing young mother.
The National Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition is selected from a national field of entries that reflect the distinctive vision of Australia's aspiring and professional portrait photographers and the unique nature of their subjects.
