National Photographic Portrait Prize 2013 Finalist
Ricardo lives in Bidyadanga, about 180 kilometres south of Broome on the West Coast of Australia. His family is from Yulparija Country, desert mob. ‘Ricardo’ is his adopted name. He and his late Grandfather share the name Minyjuru. Out of respect the name is Nyapuru and therefore must not be said. Ricardo dressed in his best for the annual Bidgy High School Ball.
