National Photographic Portrait Prize 2012 Finalist
Anne Cuttenden is a resident at the Goodwin Village in Sydney. She is 92 and still cares about her looks a great deal, carefully selecting her accessories to match her outfits. Everything in her life seems beige. This image is part of a series of photographs I have taken of retirement home residents, focussing on their sense of humour and 'joie de vivre'.
The National Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition is selected from a national field of entries that reflect the distinctive vision of Australia's aspiring and professional portrait photographers and the unique nature of their subjects.
