I met Madison de Rozario, an Australian Paralympic athlete and wheelchair racer, in 2022 when I was asked to photograph her for a magazine. We bonded over the feelings – like that of longing – that come with travelling often due to our jobs, where travel is necessary and required. It started raining while I was taking her portrait but we decided to seize the moment, and I like how I captured the shared sentiment in this one.
