Mum’s Koala Moment by Bolin (8-11 years, VIC)

Drawing
Mum’s Koala Moment
I chose to draw this picture of my mum because it reminds me of a very special trip to Apollo Bay. We had rented a house there, and one day while my parents went fishing, I discovered a real koala sitting on a tree branch in our backyard! When they came back, my mum quickly took this photo with the koala before it disappeared. It was such an amazing moment to see a wild koala so close to us. This picture captures the joy and surprise of that day, which is why it’s so meaningful to me.
