Childhood Dreams by Huiji (12-15 years, VIC)

Drawing
Childhood Dreams
My portrait of my friend, Hongjin (Nancy) displays her as a bright and bubbly figure, her cheeks blushing with rose-red, symbolising her warm personality. I chose this background to reflect how I see her and the things that keep us connected - our favourite shows, hobbies and emojis. Moreover, it also resembles the carefree memories of friendship, expressed in doodles we drew. Due to her valued part in my life, I would gladly gift a nostalgic award to her if it existed. Overall, the whole piece is a combination of realism and stylistic art to express my friend’s genuine characteristics.
