This artwork shows most of my life. As a neurodivergent person, I sometimes do things differently than others. I was bullied a few weeks ago and stood up for myself which made a huge impact on my emotions. Having many passions gives me an opportunity to freely express myself. Sometimes my life seems a little difficult, so every once in a while I express my emotions through creating something. Whether I am smelling the delicious aroma of banana bread, wrapping my mind around the complicated folds of origami, or running through the flow of watercolour, my emotions are always present.
Launched at the National Portrait Gallery in 2022, the Little Darlings Youth Portrait Prize is a competition for primary and secondary students, with four separate age categories across Kindergarten to Year 12.
