I am hugging my older brother Jubi in mom’s bed and showing him some Mandarin I learnt from our grandparents. Mom’s bed is the most special and magical place in the world. It’s our playground, napping place and story time corner. When mom was away, it felt like she was still by my side if I laid in there.

Little Darlings Youth Portrait Prize 2023

Previous exhibition, 2023

Little Darlings is for primary and secondary students, with four separate categories across Kindergarten to Year 12. Responding to the theme ‘Me and my place’, students painted, drew, photographed, printed or combined all of these to make their portrait.
