National Photographic Portrait Prize 2016 Finalist
Rolling Stone Australia sent me off to photograph the Sydney band, Royal Headache, in the Putney boat shed that they rehearse in. It was a great job, and being in the tiny padded room was quite the privilege – a real buzz – as the band prepared to launch their second long player, ‘High’. This frame of the singer, Shogun, was one of those you remember taking, in amongst the many you don’t, and froze a quiet moment in between blistering and blissful noise.
