A candid behind-the-scenes portrait of ‘Saltwater Cowboy’ Aboriginal culture in Broome, Western Australia. During the dry season, ‘saltwater cowboys’ gather to ride bulls and bucking broncos in rodeos throughout the Kimberley region. The majority of the bull riders are Aboriginal cowboys, such as Ambrose Dann (left) from Derby and Terrence Carter (right) from Fitzroy Crossing.
