National Photographic Portrait Prize 2013 Finalist
‘I feel more like a girl than a boy but don’t identify as being transsexual or feel any desire to get a sex change. I feel like a female, and always have for as long as I can remember. I was born physically male and raised accordingly and conditioned to put on a more masculine front. I get mistaken for a girl on an almost daily basis, it’s a gift, like I’ve been blessed (and cursed) with the ability to experience the world as both genders … or neither’. Jack was interviewed by Marta Jary, entertainment journalist and freelance writer, for somethingyousaid.com.
The National Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition is selected from a national field of entries that reflect the distinctive vision of Australia's aspiring and professional portrait photographers and the unique nature of their subjects.
