In ancient Greek mythology, the Fates were considered to be the most powerful force in the cosmos. As personifications of destiny, the three goddesses, Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos, controlled the metaphorical thread of life of every mortal from birth to death. As humans we are hardwired to strive for truth, for longevity and for control over our existence in this seemingly infinite and indifferent universe. But is it monumentally futile? Are our fates allotted by the dreaded apportioner Lachesis on some other-worldly plane long before our physical existences? Does she even want this colossal task? Regardless, I hope I pulled. Hard.
