Year 7, Covenant College, Canberra
This portrait holds a pleasant memory of my days in primary school. The man in the portrait was my Year 6 teacher. I remember his wisdom and patience, his generosity and influence into every Year 6's life. I painted the warm colours in his face to remind me of the sense of homeliness and comfort I experienced whenever he was around. The strong cool colours of his clothing were painted to show his calm and peaceful personality. I envisage this painting as a memorial of one of the most significant years of my life.
