Year 11, Hobart Academy TAS
synthetic polymer paint
30.0 x 30.0 cm
I’m finding myself alone in the dark discovering who I am and who I want to be. To show the uncertainty of where I’m headed, I have painted the background in my portrait black. This retains the focus on my figure, but also deprives the subject of a physical context or location. I wanted the audience to connect with the painting and create their own narrative.
