I have used contemporary photographic aesthetics to reflect metaphysically upon my dualistic personality. I wished to communicate the performative and cathartic dimensions of identity formation. I wanted to create the effect of a cinematic still, a moment in a larger, imagined cinematic work. I have been influenced by the work of Francis Bacon and Bill Henson. I am intrigued by concepts of metamorphosis and Romanticism.
