Through my work, Break away I have explored the experience of breaking my wrist playing Rugby and how it has affected me. I have tried to convey a feeling of isolation and an emphasis on the consequences of the break. I wanted to create a visual connection between the medical context for the break and my experience of being removed from the football field. The work displays the experience of isolation, a feeling a young male may have when disconnected from his friends and team members.
