I had a photo taken of me holding my teddy and a knife. I wanted to show the inference of domestic violence because it is a serious issue that is not always dealt with well. The protection of children and women is sometimes inhibited because of social taboos. I was influenced by the style and compositions of the Australian artist VR Morrison.
