After a weekend visit to my grandfather's house, I decided to incorporate him and his chaotic living surroundings in my body of work. David Hockney's 'joiner' pictures are my inspiration. I captured my grandfather's emotions in his home, then I represented them in a more distorted manner. To me his chaotic space seems strange, but to him, he is simply at home. Years of memorable interaction with my grandfather have helped shape the person I am today. He and his home have been wonderful subjects for my work.
