The luminous colours of this portrait highlight a lucid figure with a distressed stare. The colours are a direct juxtaposition to the emotional state of the figure, raising interpretative ambiguity. Even the gender of the subject is questionable. An inner turmoil consumes this troubled figure, alluding to an obsession that has stripped this soul to a near-complete loss of self.
