About fifteen years ago, I started using a Linhoff 5 x 4 field camera with sheet film. In a world that is moving fast with digital technology, I enjoy standing still and embracing old photographic processes. Portraiture is perfect for this technique, and I love its potential to catch a glimpse of people's inner worlds. Alex is the ideal subject - an interesting, talented actress with a facial structure and manner that suits the slowness of my large format camera.
