Last Summer Days is almost autobiographical, an exploration of images that address my own fear of time and its passing. It started with hundreds of undeveloped rolls of film of my family; some dating back as far as 2002. Too scared to process them I eventually started the arduous task of unfurling them. What I found were those innocent, seemingly simple times of youth – that magical crease in time where anything seems possible, before cynicism and the weight of the world is felt so acutely. This current work follows Lola, at that precarious transition from adolescence to the melancholic heaviness of adulthood.
