Make a booking

Based on advice from Australian health experts - and the Federal Government’s direction to limit non-essential gatherings and comply with social distancing guidelines - the National Portrait Gallery Australia is closed until further notice.

Education programs are 60 to 90 minutes duration and are available Monday to Friday between 10.00am – 4.30pm.

Bookings are required a minimum of two weeks prior to your visit. After your request has been made we will notify you to confirm it (subject to availability).

Once your booking has been made you will receive confirmation. Gallery staff will make every effort to follow up with each school to ensure that we understand your needs. Cancellations must be received by email at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled booking. In the case of a fee-paying program, cancellation or "no show" with less than this period of notice will incur an administration fee of $30.
