In partnership with Big hART we are proud to present Gulgawarnigu - Thinking of something, someone, a national presentation of digital artworks created from Ngarluma country leramagadu (Roebourne), in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Young artists from remote community have committed to after school creative sessions at the Digital Lab, a tech art space on the main street of town. The lab is a hub for innovation, a place where artists build skills, take creative risks and represent visual connections to Country and self. For the first time ever this standout collection of works is presented to the public. Digital drawings, 3D material renders, animations and photo composites represent pride from the next generation of creatives. Expressing stories, identities, culture and exposure to our collection, the artists share explosive and diverse works to show us who they are, where they are and what the future of portraiture can look like.
