Our expert Learning Facilitators will guide you and your students in an exploration of the different ways portraits convey stories and identities – and how they can express their own. Through visual analysis, activity, drawing and conversation students will increase their understanding of visual conventions, examine artists' different approaches and broaden their creative practice.

In this program, students will:
- Increase their awareness of visual conventions relating to portraiture;
- Expand their visual language and learn how and why portraits are created;
- Implement and experiment with visual conventions, ideas and individual style;
- Discover how and why artists make different choices in creating representations of people in portraits – practices, processes and viewpoints.
