Drop in any time - free

Join artist Laura Duffy for a hands-on workshop that draws on ideas of natural versus unnatural, as explored in their 2020 video work Pollinator on display in our In Bloom exhibition.

Laura will guide you to craft your own hybrid artwork using both organic and recycled materials. As part of your creative process, Laura will invite you to contemplate queer reproduction and ecological connection.

Laura will facilitate two sessions from 10:30am – 12:30pm and 1:30–3:30pm. Can't make the session times? No worries! Transmissions: Pollinations will be available as a self-directed experience until 4:30pm. Drop in any time. The workshops are designed for adults but suitable for all ages and abilities. All materials provided.

Laura Duffy is an Aotearoa/New Zealand artist whose video works, sculpture and installation draw on queer theory and ecological thinking. Laura holds a Master of Fine Arts from Toi Rauwhārangi, Massey University.
