Art. Make. Create.

Sunday 25 August 2024
Children holding paper butterflies

Join us for our annual family day inspired by our vibrant and dynamic new exhibition, Joan Ross: Those trees came back to me in my dreams. With plenty of creativity, art-making and exploration, you'll get to spend the day crafting your own birds, banksias and butterflies in Joan Ross’ signature fluorescent colours! We'll have live music, live ice-sculpting and plenty of portraiture to go around.

10:00am
The day will start with a Welcome to Country by local Ngunnawal Elder, Caroline Hughes.

Musicians performing while people draw on easels

10:00am – 12:00pm
Musical duo Mr Tim and Ms Nath are back, bringing their special brand of family fun and performing some of their favourite tunes for everyone to enjoy. Dance and sing along or pick up a pencil and draw while listening to their upbeat performance.

12:00 – 2:00pm
Tara Louise and Ben Lanyon will continue the musical entertainment into the afternoon. With decades of performance experience between them, the duo will bring their deep love of jazz, soul and pop music for everyone to groove along to.
